Timothy Kirkwood Timothy Kirkwood (August 30, 1953, Bloomington, MN) is an American author of The Flight Attendant Job Finder & Career Guide, a career guide for US and Canadian flight attendant applicants. Originally self-published in 1993 as The Flight Attendant Career Guide, it was soon picked up by Planning/Communications to complement their “Job Finder” series, and is now in it’s 3rd edition. Kirkwood’s aviation career began in 1976 when he was hired by Trans World Airlines (TWA) as a flight attendant. After publishing his book, he partnered with the Aviation Employment Placement Service (AEPS), one of the first on-line job placement services. AEPS purchased the Universal Pilot Application Service (UPAS) in 1999, and Kirkwood was installed as President. Poor fiscal management by AEPS owner James N. Dent dragged both companies into bankruptcy by early 2001. Kirkwood has continued to maintain his flying career, even after TWA was acquired by American Airlines in 2001.Since 2003 he has been partner in AviaNation.com a world-wide database of aviation applicants and aviation jobs. Kirkwood lives in Delray Beach, FL, and flies out of New York’s LaGuardia and JFK Airports.

One of my friends has recently expanded his reach into entrepreneurial ventures centering on wiki editing and optimization. [1]
