The pok is the world’s first wireless, digital audio workstation (DAW) remote control pedal device, invented by Trevor Nathanial and manufactured in the U.S. by X-Tempo Designs. The foot controller is battery-operated and wireless, serving as a hands-free remote control for Mac and PC-based audio recording software such as Pro Tools, Digital Performer, Logic, Cubase, and Ableton Live. The pok's pedal buttons are programmable with the companion pok Editor software. Musicians are able to self-record on their computer from an isolation booth or from a distance, away from their DAW computer, while they foot-operate the session with the pok. The pok is also used by DJs and stage performers to remotely control their DAW up to 70 feet from the stage.
