Robotic Palletizing Automation Systems

Robotic palletizing is a common automation application which primarily utilizes 4 axis articulated robot arms. 6 axis industrial robots are also used for applications which require twisting and/or turning articulation. Specialized palletizing robots are available that sacrifice accuracy for greater speed to increase throughput. Part to tool based designs dominate the installed base of robotic palletizing systems. Typical end of arm tooling mechanisms include vacuum cups or pneumatic grippers, and is largely dependent on part size, weight, & surface conditions.
