This page represents a simple personal Directory listing that is used for MyWikiBiz's auto-create feature. Devon Dakin was born in Canada's capital of Ottawa to parents Kimberley Dakin and Thomas Holmes who divorced when he was just 8 months old. He spent his early years living the Ottawa Valley attending various schools. His parents moved frequently so he never really established many friends. At the age of 6 he moved to Ottawa with his mother where he continued his elementary education.
Devon's mother has been qouted as saying "Devon has been a performer since he was only 4 years old, he has immense talent and will do well in life". Devon was involved with various drama schools and groups between the ages of 8 - 13 most notably the Deep River Youth Theatre where he played "Man in Makintosh" in the production of Ernie's Incredible Illucinations which was featured during a segment of The New RO news broadcast. He also played various roles on a televison prgram that was filmed in Perth, Ontario at Christie Lake Camp. The program was aired on Y.C.T.V. which is based out of London, England.
Mr. Dakin moved to the Island of Bermuda with his mother in May of 2001. He attended CedarBridge Academy and The Berkeley Institute. During his time at The Berkeley Institute he began his television, music and modelling career. He was approached by a group of four classmates that were curious if he was interested in joing their already established hip-hop and rap group Fo Figa. Devon was thrilled and didn't hesitate to say yes. His first appearance on t.v. was during a show called "Jungle Boogie" which was a music video program similar to MTV and MuchMusic. He performed a song alongside his fellow band members. That one episode launched him into his celebrity status in Bermuda. He began working more closely with the members of Fo Figa by writing songs and producing music. They worked very closely with producer J-Rock who has launched the music careers of many young Bermudians. Devon did a lot of work with FreshTV. He was sometimes a co-host for the show Strictly Gage and he also did some production with them as well.
When Devon was 18 years old he was approached by a coworker of his and was asked his he was interested in modelling. He jumped at the opportunity to work with photographers because this was something that he was always interested in doing. He did his fist major photo shoot with Chinaman Productions in October of 2004. Hius pictures are still circulating the internet to this day. Devan was quoted as saying "It was an amazing experience, the scenery was gorgeous and the photographer couldn't have done a better job" He also worked with Bermuda Tourism but nothing ever came of that.
He left Bermuda in December 2004 to move back to Canada in the hopes he could launch a career in music, televison or modelling. He is currently working on a music project that he hopes will bring his some success by 2012. He's in the middle of writing and producing his own music. He changed his style completely from hip-hop/rap to a more euro-techno sound. He hopes to release an album in 2012 that will be sold across North America and Europe.
