Centiare is powered by the same collaboration and editing software used by Directory:Wikipedia, with the addition of custom extensions that enhance its core functionality:

Centiare's custom extensions and modifications bring the power of the Directory:MediaWiki program to users who wish to create and control their own Directory articles/pages. Semantic Tagging
Centiare's custom extensions and modifications enable cross-referenced relationships and attributes (shown below) to be generated automatically.
