Christmas lights (in rare instances, sometimes called fairy lights or twinkle lights) are strands of electric lights used to decorate Christmas trees and homes during the winter holiday season. Christmas lights come in a dazzling array of configurations and colors.
Some people get a little carried away with their light displays, even to the point of synchronizing their flashing patterns to music, as this video shows:
