Helpful tips
Here are some tips on how to create a Directory listing and take advantage of the semantic web features we have in place:
- You may write as an opinionated advocate in the Directory -- neutral view is not required. You can sell products, promote videos, upload documents, even host your own Google AdSense ads. This auto-fill form will guide you through creating a very basic directory listing right now.
- Because MyWikiBiz supports Semantic Web technology, search engine results are highly optimized. Internal searches can also be performed that wouldn't be possible on Google, MySpace, or Wikipedia.
A few favorite pages that might help acquaint a new user with the possibilities are found among the Demonstration links, or in these articles written by independent reviewers.

Sub Pages
Very nice. If you'd like, you can create product/service listings or other reference information (eg client examples) using subpages located within your primary listing. All you have to do is use a forward slash (/) after the directory name; for example: Directory:LunaGraphica/Services. Snerfling 08:50, 30 January 2007 (PST)
Interlinks and semantic tags
You're doing a fine job of entering content into the directory. I'd like to share one bit of important advice, though -- if you really want to see your search engine results "pop", you need to more aggressively "wikilink" terms in your listings, such as I just did right here, and you need to consider adding "semantic tags" to your content. These tags automatically get "reported" in an RDF Facts table at the bottom of the article, and Google picks up on these tables like a duck on a junebug. We're glad to have you on board Centiare! --MyWikiBiz 11:11, 31 January 2007 (PST)
Semantic Tags - Relations
I noticed that you're building up a client list at LunaGraphica. You might be happy to know there's a much easier way of handling these types of relationships via semantic tags and ASK; specifically, Relation:Client Of.
For example, just use the tag in the following manner at Directory:Allied Arts Guild or any of LG's other client pages:
Client Of::Directory:LunaGraphica
Then, at LunaGraphica's page, just write an ASK query like this:
<ASK Mainlabel="Client" Header="show" Link="all"> Provider [[Client Of::<q>FULLPAGENAME</q>]] </ASK>
The result will be a nice like Java chart that has all sort of cool little features like auto sort, etc. To see an example of how this construct works, KJ Kitchens is using relationships & categories (if you want to further filter client types) quite extensively. If you have any questions/problems, feel free to drop me a line. Snerfling 17:40, 31 January 2007 (PST)
- Hope you don't mind, but I added a Relation:Client Of tag to your first listed client and then placed an ASK query at your directory page listing this client. We've found out that Google loves these semantic interlinks from a page ranking perspective, so feel free to delete/edit/expand as you see fit.
- Btw, BIG Images did a great job with their service sub-pages, so you might want to review what they've done as well. Snerfling 16:59, 22 February 2007 (PST)
Non-Profits
Allied Arts Guild looks like a nice place. We have an non-profit organization infobox in case you're interested. It's very similar to the corporate infobox; you can see an example here. Snerfling 07:38, 23 February 2007 (PST)
Help with direct marketing
There's a discussion opening up, where I've solicited advice on tweaking our Spring 2007 direct marketing letter. Please join us. --MyWikiBiz 10:39, 5 March 2007 (PST)
Any results?
Are you getting any net positive results, especially via Google search ranking, for all of your clients' listings here on Centiare? I know we're still quite small, but it would be encouraging to hear how others are perceiving their efforts here in the Directory. --MyWikiBiz 07:58, 30 April 2007 (PDT)
