Clarksville is a town in southeastern Indiana, in Clark county, 102 miles (164 km) south of Indianapolis. It is across the Ohio River from Louisville, Ky. Clarksville is a commercial center. Grains and dairy cattle are raised nearby. The community was founded in 1784 by George Rogers Clark, American frontier leader. Government is by mayor and council. Population: 21,400.

RIVER FAIR FAMILY FUN PARK is off 1-65 exit 4 on SR 131 on the second floor of the River Falls Mall. This indoor amusement park offers such rides as bumper cars, a carousel and a miniature train as well as a miniature golf course and a video arcade. Park open Mon.-Thurs. 10-9, Fri.-Sat 10-10, Sun. noon-6; noon-6 on Memorial Day, July 4 and Labor Day. Rides begin at noon. Closed Thanksgiving and Dec. 25.
