Metshin was born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. He created his first business when he was 11 years old selling fireworks in his school and district. When he was 16 where, he was accepted to Dovgan's University, a special entrepreneurial program organized by Russian oligarch Vladimir Dovgan. Metshin and 20 of his fellow team members were the apprentices of Dovgan.
