According to Jimmy Wales, the "right to be forgotten" is censorship. He says:

What we may not do, if we are respecting freedom of expression, is use the force of law to suppress a link to content that is legally published and true. It is not appropriate for any government to attempt to force its judgment of what is "relevant" on anyone.

...under no circumstances ever is it OK to use the force of law to suppress truthful speech. The very idea is disgusting and philosophically bankrupt.

Additionally, Jimmy Wales told BBC's Michael Lyons:

I think that when we have people in the public eye who are subject of some questions of some scandal or what have you, that the right of ordinary people to discuss that openly is fundamental. I think it's key to what it means to live in an open society and a democratic society, and it's very problematic when we realise that a law which forbids speaking certain facts -- true facts -- even when it impinges on the rights of ordinary people to talk to their friends, that something's gone very horribly wrong there.

In the spirit of Jimmy "Jimbo" Wales' firmly-held beliefs, MyWikiBiz now publishes the legal and true documentation of Jimmy Wales' divorce records, obtained legally in Pinellas County, Florida, so that ordinary people can talk about this in an open and democratic way.

Christine A. Wales was represented by attorney Sean A. Costis. Mr. Wales was represented by John Thacker. The case (09-011014-FD-12) was brought in October 2010, and Circuit Judge Jack Helinger decided the case in April 2011.
