TXU is the largest nonregulated retail electric provider in [[Texas]], with more than 2.3 million customers, and it has a generating capacity of more than 18,300 MW from its interests in nuclear and fossil-fueled power plants in the state. TXU also has regulated power transmission and distribution operations through TXU Electric Delivery (formerly Oncor Electric Delivery). Other operations include wholesale energy marketing and coal mining. In 2007 the company agreed to a $45 million leveraged buyout by an investor group led by Goldman Sachs, Kohlberg Kravis Roberts, and Texas Pacific Group.
