'''The Law office of Alex T. Roshuk''' is a lawyer firm run by Alex T. Roshuk who lives and maintains a private practice in Park Slope, Brooklyn in [[New York City]]. He is a graduate of McGill University, Faculty of Law having received two degrees in civil and common law in 1997, B.C.L./LL.B. He also attended Princeton University, class of 1978. Formerly the legal advisor to the [[Directory:Wikimedia Foundation]] from 2003 to 2005 he assisted in obtaining the organization's tax exempt status from the IRS and with trademark, copyright and dispute resolution matters. He was also an administrator of the English Wikipedia project and started a group called the "Association of Members' Advocates" to help people through the labrynthian "dispute resolution process". He ceased editing there during the winter of 2006-07 and is no longer a member of Wikipedia or Wikimedia.
He is also a film maker, video artist, radio announcer and blogger. He has received grants from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Canada Council and the Québec Ministry of Cultural Affairs. His film and video work has been shown in North America, Japan and Europe in galleries, festivals and on television. His video art is in the collections of the Anthology Film Archives in New York City, Institute for Contemporary Art in London, Le Vidéographe in Montréal and V-Tape in Toronto, among others. He has taught at the New York Center for the Media Arts, at SUNY Purchase (with John Hanhardt) and was a member of the Consultative Committee to the Canadian government in 1991-92.
In 1983 he was one of the founders of the Stand-By Program for video artists in New York City giving them access to state-of-the-art hi-band video editing and digital effects systems. In 2003, he became a board member of the Stand-By Program. He has worked as an arts administrator and served on the board of directors of a variety of artist-run organizations in the United States and Canada such as the 185 Nassau St. Corporation (New York), the Harmonic Arts Society (New York), the International Network for the Arts (New York), the Media Alliance (New York), The Canadian Independent Film Caucus, the Alliance of Independent Film and Video (Canada), Main Film (Montréal), Playwrights’ Workshop Montréal, CKUT-FM (Montréal) and Le Vidéographe (Montréal).
