Garrett, the Kanoodle ad that you're trying to add to Roman Catholic Church is setting off my "pop-up" ad blocker.  I don't think this is something with which we're going to want Centiare associated.  People hate pop-ups.  Furthermore, (and I don't want to sound like your Dad or anything) we need to keep in check the desire of people to carve out huge plots of "Directory turf" with the intention only of using them as ad farms.  Remember, the content that goes into Directory space takes priority over the ad generation opportunity.  And content can't just be copied from the GFDL sites we all know and love, then pasted into protected Directory space, which is not reissued with the GFDL.  I'm not trying to shut down your efforts -- just pointing out some ways that I'm seeing them bleed into territory that Karl and I didn't want to see happen (because then the "new user" experience is painted as "huh, this looks like some kind of directory with hardly any content, plus a bunch of ads; I'll just use Wikipedia".  That's the last thing we all want.  --[[User:MyWikiBiz|MyWikiBiz]] 08:59, 9 April 2007 (PDT)

I don't want one of those zombie ad sites either but I was just using the roman catholic listing as a guinea pig to get the ads to work.

Yahoo and blidclix said they were still in beta and turned me down. Then I was surfing IMDB one day weeks later and saw they used google type ads but it was "kanoodle". I've never had popup or cookie one from IMDB and they are in the top 100 most viewed sites on the entire internet so I assumed kanoodle was legit. I still think kanoodle is on the up and up but i'll look into my account settings with them to see if the default settings turn pop ups on.

Maybe your pop up blocker is gonig off becuase the coded is only half formed or something. If we can get it to display correctly then it will probably work fine. Check out the bottom of this random IMDB page to see for yourself. [http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0791304/] [[User:Garrett|Garrett]] 09:09, 9 April 2007 (PDT)
