'''Boy Scouts are for spanking''' was a campaign launched by [http://wikipediareview.com/index.php?act=idx Wikipedia Review] against Wikipedia and Wikimedia for hosting a pornographic website displaying images of naked children, of children being spanked or subjected to violent acts. The campaign provoked a storm of opposition from the Wiki 'free culture' community, and led to one Wikipedia Review member being permanently banned from Wikipedia.
The campaign was ultimately succesfull, with the site being taken down at the end of January 2008 and hosted elsewhere.
