Robotic assembly applications are performed by a variety of industrial robots including 6 axis articulated arms, scara robots , cartesian coordinate robots (a.k.a. gantry robots), & parallel robots (a.k.a. delta or “picker” robots). Robotic assembly operations are considered part to tool solutions since the robot directly manipulates part components during assembly.
