A lot of dogs from the smallest Boston terrier to the largest German Shepard have all have there problems with fleas and ticks. In fact the only true way to stop your dogs from having problems with these insects is to wrap them in some kind of plastic bag and keep them inside. Which of course we won’t do because that would be cruel but still we all want our dogs to be healthy and happy and we don’t want them to be getting any kind of diseases from fleas and ticks. So when we take our dogs outside we want them to not have to worry about any of those things. And that is where frontline comes in.

People are always wondering where the best place to apply frontline on your dog. Well depending on the size of your dog will usually determine where on your dog to apply frontline. If for example you have a small dog then you can go ahead and apply it to the back of the neck like it says in the directions. However if you have a much larger dog then you will want to apply it a little differently. You want to focus on applying frontline to the hind legs and lower back because a lot of times in larger dogs they will want to turn and lick frontline off. And no matter what type of dog you have you want to always apply frontline directly to the skin and not on the fur as it will not be as effective. You will also want to apply it in two separate places or it will not work.

Besides being really annoying to you and your dog. Fleas and ticks, depending on the type, can possible carry with them certain diseases that can harm your dog and, if your dog is an inside/outside dog , harm you as well. Many times I am sure you can remember you dog coming inside and wanting to scratch itself. Or maybe your dog likes to sleep with you and you wake up the next morning with flea bites. And you start scratching.Fact is that dogs provide a perfect breeding ground for fleas and ticks and it is up to use to take care of our dogs and make sure that the fleas and ticks don’t win. We as pet owners can do this with frontline. previcox for dogs
