TV Genius is a private company, based in Harrow, London. It was founded in 2005 by Tom Weiss, a former Vice President of T-Mobile, and author of the book "Mobile Strategies", and Bob Eggington, the Project Director responsible for launching BBC News Online. TV Genius specialises in providing TV Search, personalisation and TV recommendation technologies. Having spent 18 months developing and testing the software platform, they began licensing their technology in mid-2006 and have since done so to numerous clients including ITV, AOL, Sky, and IPC Magazines.
