Jason Bateman is a TV and film actor who got his start in the 1980s on sitcoms such as "Silver Spoons," "It's Your Move" and "The Hogan Family." In 2002 he began playing Michael Bluth on "Arrested Development," a role for which he won a TV Land Award, a Golden Globe Award and two Satellite Awards. Bateman has since established himself in Hollywood by appearing in several notable movies, including "Juno," "Up in the Air," "The Switch," "Extract" and, in 2011, "The Change-Up." With "Arrested Development" co-star Will Arnett, Bateman launched a production company called DumbDumb in 2010. He and his older sister, Justine Bateman of "Family Ties" fame, were born in Rye, New York; their mother Victoria is a former flight attendant for Pan Am, and father Kent is an actor, writer, director and founder of a repertory stage in Hollywood.
