Visual representation of markets
gnutrade's platform differs from conventional trading software in that it uses distinctive spherical graphics to represent financial markets, and gives users a game-like experience. The market spheres move up and down in line with their price movements, and this feature means users can quickly assess market performance without sifting through detailed numerical data. Various other visual representations are used on the trading screen to convey market information at a glance, and details can be viewed by zooming in on the individual market spheres.
The platform is designed to be sophisticated enough for professional traders yet uncomplicated for people who lack trading knowledge and market experience. A Spanish language version of the platform is available as well as the English language platform, and translations into many other languages are likely to be launched in the future.
'Trade from anywhere'
Unlike traditional trading software, the gnuTrade platform is completely online, so no downloads, special installations or updates are required in order to start trading. This means that users can trade from virtually any computer (Mac or PC) with an internet connection. Bet on financial markets from your iPhone
In 2009, gnuTrade launched the world's first financial gaming application for the iPhone. The innovative web app, which is featured on the Apple website gives iPhone users an instant view of how financial markets are performing, and lets them place simple bets on whether prices will rise or fall. The app complements gnuTrade's acclaimed web-based trading platform, using its signature graphics to show live market price action, but via a handy touch-screen device.

gnuTrade has received positive television and press coverage worldwide on BBC TV and the web.
TV coverage
The BBC's flagship technology show, Click, pointed out that gnuTrade offers a new take for those wanting to play the world's stock markets, and highlighted the ‘Back a Player’ trading option, News feed, and Play and Real money features. The TV show's presenter and ‘technology pundit’ Kate Russell, also drew attention to gnuTrade’s striking graphics, and went on to give viewers a visual demonstration of gnuTrade’s unique Trading screen. “Past performance is beautifully illustrated,” she says, “with graphics that relay market movements in an easy to understand way.”
