Welcome!

Hi Musket, welcome to MyWikiBiz. We're happy that you've taken the steps to become a member of our site. MyWikiBiz is a directory where any person, any company, any product, or any thing can author their own legacy. We seek to provide the space for 265 million entities. Our registered editors like you have generated over 60,000 pages so far -- help keep that number growing with an article about yourself, your business, your industry, your favorite product, hobby, or organization. Since 2008, MyWikiBiz.com has served up over 1 million page views. Get started authoring your legacy today!

Helpful tips

Here are some tips on how to create a Directory listing and take advantage of the semantic web features we have in place:

  • You may write as an opinionated advocate in the Directory -- neutral view is not required. You can sell products, promote videos, upload documents, even host your own Google AdSense ads. This auto-fill form will guide you through creating a very basic directory listing right now.
  • Because MyWikiBiz supports Semantic Web technology, search engine results are highly optimized. Internal searches can also be performed that wouldn't be possible on Google, MySpace, or Wikipedia.

A few favorite pages that might help acquaint a new user with the possibilities are found among the Demonstration links, or in these articles written by independent reviewers.

Protecting your articles

Hi Musket, please take a look at NewsUSA to see how you can roll-up various news articles and other press information within a primary directory listing.

The first thing you should do is create a Directory listing - the Main space is reserved for traditional NPOV articles. (Unlike protected directory listings, Main space articles are also subject to open-editing, so anyone can change/delete your information.)

To create a new directory listing in about 5 second, check this page (click on the business listing option). Snerfling 06:13, 26 January 2007 (PST)

I agree with Snerfling, Musket. You mentioned to me regarding your content, whether it's original or fair use material, that you want to earn money from it. The only best way to do that on Centiare is to establish it in Directory Space, because then you are the "last user of record", and only the "last user of record" on a Directory page has the access rights to edit the content. Plus, you're welcome to put up Google AdSense ads, Amazon Associates links to books or videos that you might mention in your articles, and even advertise yourself or your own products. The Directory:NewsUSA area that another of our users has created really is a great example of (probably) how you want to proceed. Please contact me on my Talk page if you don't seem to get the hang of it. --MyWikiBiz 06:42, 26 January 2007 (PST)

Directory Listing

Have you decided on a Directory name yet? I'm curious to see what your site will look like. If you haven't seen this poster's listing yet, you may want to take a look at Directory:KJ Kitchens. The easiest way to create any new tags/queries is to merely copy/paste someone else's info, then go back and edit/modify as needed.

It also looks like you're getting prepared to build out some subsidiary information. For a discussion & tips on how to construct/organize/link/tag subpages, take a look here. Snerfling 06:30, 1 February 2007 (PST)
