I think book relations are a much better mechanism for creating these types of associations. I'll get back to you in a short while once I've taken a more thorough look. Snerfling 15:42, 6 March 2007 (PST)

:Ok, thanx for being patient. Please take a look at one of OMG's individual  book listings here. As you can see, she is using Author instead of Has Author. If you click through to the attribute, you can see the explanation of why an exception was made in this case.

:Here's the key point: when we have individual (book) pages, all the relevant tagged data can be presented as unique to that page ie they are built-in ordinal attributes. However, if we have multiple books on a page (like Boxing references), then we have to individually ID each one, as you attempted via the ordinal attributes.

:So, from a design approach, we have to determine when to use ordinal attributes and when to use page relations (with their built in ordinal characteristics). For books & references, we want to use relations. Please see a summary explanation here.

:There's an added benefit to this: as you know, you can create directory listings until the actual owners show up. You could easily add 'Has Author' links, then build out the respective author directory listings with your ubiquitous Adsense ads. Snerfling 16:59, 6 March 2007 (PST)
