The Argotist Online is a poetry and literary website edited by Jeffrey Side, which was established in 2005. It evolved from the arts magazine The Argotist that ran from 1996 to 2000, and which was edited by Nick Watson, and partly funded by Liverpool University.

The Argotist Online publishes poetry, and features essays, articles and interviews related to it. It also publishes ebooks of poetry and literary criticism under the name Argotist Ebooks.

Among its interviews are those with Charles Bernstein, Marjorie Perloff, Ron Silliman, Anne Waldman, Jake Berry, Hank Lazer, Jack Foley, Bruce Andrews, Rae Armantrout, Robert Archambeau, Kent Johnson, Nick Piombino, Amiri Baraka, Joanne Kyger, Juliana Spahr, Michael Rothenberg, Iain Sinclair, Colin Wilson, Philip Nikolayev and Tom Clark.

It has poems by, among others, Charles Bernstein, Hank Lazer, Ron Silliman, Jim Leftwich, Jake Berry, Anne Blonstein, Allen Fisher, Sheila E. Murphy, Larry Sawyer, Tom Clark, Jack Foley, Annabelle Clippinger, John M. Bennett, Adam Fieled and Medbh McGuckian.

A series of interviews with songwriters on the differences/similarities between poems and songs also appears. Those taking part include: Richard Thompson, Linda Thompson, Ralph McTell, Pete Brown, Steve Harley, Carol Decker, Keith Reid, Julie Felix, Eddi Reader, Kate Rusby, Nancy Ames, Martha Tilston and Alison Sudol.
