In mid-late 2008, plans were made to create a new album entitled "The Unidentified Plan." However, the name was scrapped and then changed to V.I.R.T.U.E. DQ quoted in a recent interview that  the letters of the word virtue "would stand for different things in his life."

The album was originally planned to be released in December 2012, however it was pushed back to February 2013 due to the initial album rejected by the label. New songs were recorded, as well as songs from previous recording sessions which appeared on other albums or as singles, which were brought onto the tracklisting.
