Student Activities

Guest lecture

Guest lectures are organized with the sole intention of imparting the industrial knowledge to all the student community which happens frequently with a regular interval of once in a fortnight. We have had many of the industry experts being roped in wherein the guest speakers share their views, expertise, and knowledge with the students which helps the students visualize & correlate simultaneously with the theoretical knowledge.

Club Activites

BMA has constituted 11 clubs with around 20 students in each club. These clubs are named after famous management mandarins like Steve Covey, Drucker, Kotler, CK Prahlad, Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Jack Welch and others. The 11 clubs have been further split into two groups of 6 and 5 clubs. Each group meets once in a week thereby giving all club members a fortnightly exposure to club activities. A club mentor (faculty member) gives guidance and direction to the activities of each club. Performance grading of students in these activities are being factored into their respective internal assessment scores. The purpose of initiating these club activities was to bridge the gap between the academic classroom and the corporate board room. Club members gain proficiency in translating the theory of management into practice of the same. They would sharpen their communication skills, analytical skills and personality skills.

A good variety of activities have been hosted by the clubs in the recent past - Case studies, business quiz, general quiz, debates, marketing plans, book review, library journal keeping, newspaper based presentations and fun games. The participation of the students has been enthusiastic. Club mentors have also been performing the role of a personal mentor/tutor to each student in their clubs.

Sports & Culture

All levels of sport are catered for at Bangalore Management Academy, from the recreational to the highly competitive. In addition to the college teams, there are many departments with their own staff teams who play mostly on Sunday afternoons, which most students have as free time. In addition, there are opportunities to take part in a wide range of 'lifestyle' or fitness activities from aerobics to working out in modern, well equipped fitness studios.
