Film and Music Biography

Early Short Films

In 2002 Alex Gilbert released two Cartoons to present at his school. They are 3min long each and are to promote his cartoon character at the time. Later in 2002 Alex decided to work on a Full Short Film at his school but the movie stoped production at the end of 2002 because of the lack of Actors and times to film. The Movie has now been moved to the end of 2010 even though it was expected for released in 2002. In 2004 Alex started releasing more short films over the year which were showen at the Intermediate he has in at the time. These films included a short film that had Alex falling out of a wheeled trolley and almost breaking his arm.

Under All Evils & Crazy

In April of 2006 Alex Gilbert released a demo cd that was titled Under All Evils. The tracks were over beats from commercial artists aswell as himself producing some of the tracks on the CD. The Album is now considered his Debut album even though it was never officially released at the time because of it being a demo CD. Before Under All Evils was a EP called the same name but with an EP sign by it. The EP contained tracks that were earlier recorded on the album but never made the cut because of Porfanity on the EP. The album caused conflict with a track called "Fragfest" which was about killing anything in your way. The song was released on later version with all the gun words removed from the track. The Orginial version is still avaliable on the Orginial Copy of the album.

Later after Under All Evils the first tracks for the next album were recorded in June 2006. The Crazy album was announced on Alex's blog at the time and tracks were on there way one at a time. On the 1st of October "Crazy" was released through the website and physical copies also avaliable. The album was sent to America to a seller at the time. This album has had talks about the main song on the album called "Crazy" which is about going crazy with everyone around you and flaming them with a flame thrower. Alex said "This was freestyled at the time and was not expected to say the words in the track on purpose". The song was released in July 2006 along with a clean version that removed all the words to do with the flame thrower. The cover of the album also represents this song from the flames of the flame thrower flames going everywhere. The cover had them in black because of the dark style it was in. Kadin also featured in the song and was recorded at "Crazy Productions" at the time.

Make Me Rich

At The Start of 2007 Alex released a promo song featuring Aidan Erceg called "Batty Matty Fatty". The song was refering to a student at their school. The boy who the song was about decided that it could stay on the album Make Me Rich but only the clean version. The Clean version stayed and the Orginal Version was destroyed. Make Me Rich was later released in May 2007 with new tracks that only took three months to make. The album also had a song called "Show Off (Freestyle)" which was aimed at another person at their school who showed off to everyone he knew and Alex decided to make a song about it and not actually meaning to diss him on the track. This track also had Kadin as a featurette. Kadin later decided to leave the music and move on to other stuff after that song was released. Short films were also released that year including the famous "The Spy" video. In Feb the show called "Jordans Biking School" was filmed and only made two episodes at the time and then stoped filming the show because of critisem over the show from other viewers. Throughout the year Alex decided to work on the 2008 album three months after Make Me Rich was released. "Crazy Ass" was another show that only made one eispode at the time because of the lack of ideas for the next episode. That was released in Nov 2007 aswell as "The Spy" in Oct 2007.

2008

After 2007 ended Alex started working on his fourth album release "Outbreak of an MC" and in the middle of the year the movie "What Goes Around". At the end of 2008 the 5th album "The Peace that starts war" was released through iTunes and on a Physical CD. The album recieved many responces and questions on many of the tracks. This album had a deticated to "Liberety Rose" who at the time was killed from a 14 year old in a city above from where Alex lives. Alex didnt know who it was but knew friends who knew her. On the track "Reality" Alex says her name and tributes her. After the album was released Alex decided to drop out of Alex Gilbert Studios and change the name to a new label name and start fresh. This also making a new release EP of Billy Harper which was released after "The Peace That Starts War". The EP was recoreded at Alex's high school and Alex helped produce most of the EP and includes the popular "Behind My Back (Remix)" which appeared on Alex's album and the time aswell as Billy Harpers EP. By the end of 2008 Alex decided to drop out of his label and film name "Alex Gilbert Studios" and work with a new label name which is now "Mentally Insane Records"

Mentally Insane Records

See Main Articles:Mentally Insane Records At the start of 2009 Alex announced the new label "Ice Cold Records" which is now Mentally Insane Records. The name was changed because of copyright claims over the name. This new label is now for all music albums and work that are released under Mentally Insane Records to get out there for young artists who have talent and want to get their music out there. This new label is releasing Alex's 6th album "No Time Like Now" in October and Billy Harper's "Collision and Impact" which is his debut album out end of the year or moved to next year.
