Kinkorati or Kinkarati (kink-orati, kink-arati) is the term which describes the elite class of persons most notable for being on the cutting edge movement of bringing the BDSM lifestyle, (not necessarily private sexual practices) into mainstream popular culture without the connotation of current and past misrepresentations of the lifestyle.

Kinkorati contributions include BDSM Art, Literature, Web Content, BDSM lifestyle mentors and anyone connected to the goal of achieving mainstream acceptance which could include web content performers and elite lifestyle practitioners. BDSM is an umbrella term for exotic and tantric practices in sexual behavior or taste, or "kink".

It's Purpose: Kinkorati/Kinkarati (the neologism) was coined into being on December 24, 2008 as a singular term the BDSM community could galvanize around to help facilitate mainstream acceptance into popular culture. An annual Kinkorati Award is also given for this purpose.
