Cross Stitch Centre was established in 1976 in a shop near the medieval castle of Alnwick, the ancestral home of the Duke of Northumberland. You may well be familiar with Alnwick Castle as a film location for movies, such as Hogwarts in Harry Potter.
Alnwick is steeped in history and is well worth a visit. At the bottom of our street, a magnificent bronze statue has been unveiled, to mark the 700th anniversary of the Percy family in Alnwick.
