After taking a year off, Casey received a wild card into the qualifying round of the [[Association of Tennis Professionals|ATP]] Challenger event in [[Yuba City]], [[California]]. Casey went on to qualify for the main draw where he made it to Round 2 (R16), earning him a total of 9 [[Association of Tennis Professionals|ATP]] points.

A breakout year for Casey when he was undefeded in High school Division I [[Michigan]] Varsity Boy's Tennis. He also received wild cards to the qualifying rounds of the [[Association of Tennis Professionals|ATP]] event in [[Lansing]], [[Michigan]] and the [[ATP Masters Series]] event in [[Cincinnati]], [[Directory:Ohio|Ohio]] but never made the main draw.
