The owner of the site is not good with computers, so the site was managed by a small staff of competent volunteers. Despite this, the site's host experienced a hard disk drive failure, resulting in the loss of most of the site's content. Some material was recovered from a backup collected early in the site's history. Sadly the rest is mostly lost or available only in the Wayback Machine.

In 2011, Wikipedia banned a longtime contributor who had been collecting IRC logs over his several years of contributing to Wikipedia, and he published these in 2011. Wikipedialogs republished them in 2012, along with their own logs. Many Wikipedians were exposed as using abusive and misogynistic language, which proved embarrassing to them. Many Wikipedians were exposed as using abusive and misogynistic language, which proved embarrassing to them after they had progressed in the ranks of the Wikimedia Foundation and its chapters.
