Hi Nicholas, thank you for stopping by. Centiare was set up to utilize the fantastic [[Directory:Mediawiki|Mediawiki]] collaboration/editing tool for commercial directory content.
As such, it also provides a commercial outlet for Wikipedians who wish to market/provide editing services to the many organizations who need assistance with their listings. We've added all sorts of interesting extensions/mods to extend MW's functionality, not the least being protected [[user-owned]] pages and [[semantic tagging]] capabilities.
