Bright Settings started business at the home of Marc Templin in Townville, Pennsylvania in [[1999]]. It was from this location that Templin started contacting suppliers and manufacturers, and created the first website, Folding Tables and Chairs at www.folding-tables-chairs.com. Following that, he finished his second website, Wholesale Table Linens at www.wholesale-table-linens.com.
By the end of 2001 the websites generated several million dollars in revenue. Templin then founded Bright Hospitality Inc (BHI) and began building a team. In April 2002 BHI leased 4,500 square feet on the 2nd floor of Building #4 of the shuttered Cytemp Specialty Steel facility in Titusville, Pennsylvania.
In 2004, BHI trademarked the d/b/a name of Bright Settings™.
In 2007, Bright Settings was listed in Internet Retailer's Top 500 Largest Retail Websites in America. Bright Settings was also recognized in 2007 and 2009 by Inc Magazine as one of the fastest growing privately held companies in the United States of America.
In 2008 BHI established a table linen rental operation at www.table-linen-rental.com/ and expand into screen and digital printing of tablecloths and banners for trade shows at www.e-screen-printing.com/.
In 2009, Templin's wife Kim, an award-winning quilter, invented and patented a new kind of quilting ruler called the Double Diamond Ruler™. BHI began manufacturing the rulers and set up a new business and website, Bright Quilting Notions at http://www.bright-quilting-notions.com/, where Double Diamond Rulers and patterns are sold.
In late 2010 and into 2011, BHI moved all products and services (except for quilting) onto the BrightSettings.com domain. Bright Settings now employs fifteen people and occupies 11,400 square feet of office space.
