'''Great Explorations''', on the third floor of The Pier, 800 Second Avenue N.E., offers six pavilions of hands-on exhibits including Explore Galore, which is geared towards children under 7. VETerinary Office put children in charge of a toy animal's exam, while Touch Tunnel challenges the senses in a pitch-black, 90-foot maze. Other exhibits focus on health and fitness; touch- and sound-activated art; and international displays. Changing programs and exhibits explore various facets of the arts and sciences. Allow 1 hour minimum. Open Monday through Saturday 10-8, Sunday 11-6. Phone 727.821.8992.
