Semantic tagging

Semantic tagging is a way to classify certain entities. The tagging process consists of two primary steps:

  1. Identify the instances that shall be classified (tagged); e.g., cities.
  2. Classify (tag) these instances by assigning them to certain groups or labels, if applicable; e.g., national capitals.
