Robert Falck (born 1982) is the CEO and founder of Einride, a Swedish technology company that designs, develops, and sells driverless electrified trucks and logistical solutions to transportation companies, founded in 2016.[1] In 2019, Einride became the first company in the world to put an autonomous truck on a public road, when the company extended its testing activities in Sweden outside of enclosed areas.[2]

Before founding Einride, Robert Falck was a director of manufacturing engineering assembly at Volvo Powertrain, developing fossil fuel engines for Volvo, one of the world's largest truck manufacturers.[3] He previously worked for Volvo in Russia and for Chalmers University, as their representative at Stanford University to the Silicon Valley ecosystem.

Since its founding in 2016, Einride has constantly been acknowledged as one of the most promising startups globally: ranked by business intelligence firm CB Insights as one out of 36 companies that can change the world in 2020,[4] and as one of Techcrunch’s 48 Top Picks in 2018.[5] The company has also been featured by the Financial Times,[6] Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Wired,[7] CNN,[8] BBC[9] and others.

When holding a keynote speech at the global tech conference Slush in 2019, Falck described the company vision as “sustainable and intelligent road freight transport”, with “zero emissions, zero waste and zero traffic deaths”.[10]
