Publishing activity

After 1989 - involved in the social, civic and political life from Romania, writing articles of general interests and on contemporary Romanian life. Her literary activity is geared mainly towards poetry and translations from world's philosophical and spiritual literature. Some of her poems have been translated in English, German, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Dutch, Italian, Serbian, Chinese, Hungarian, Latin, Hebrew, Polish, and Urdu, and have been published in literary revues from Romania and also from abroad (Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Cuba, Germany, Mexico, Nicaragua, Pakistan, Serbia, Spain, Taiwan, Turkey, Uruguay, USA). Also she had published in literary revues various translations of the contemporary poetry from Argentina, Brazil, Belgium, Chile, Colombia, Italy, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Portugal, Peru, Puerto Rico, Spain, USA. For the literary activity Elena Liliana Popescu has received the Special Diploma at the International Festival of Poetry, Uzdin (Serbia,1997), the First prize at the Poetry Festival Novalis, Munich (Germany, 1998), Special Diploma at the X Certamen de Poesia “Leonardo Cercós” (Palma de Mallorca, Spain, 2007), and Diploma de reconocimiento y merito, from Embassy of Spain from Bucharest, Romania (2011).

În muta disperare tăcerea e cuvântul/
Nefericirea însăşi cuprinde fericirea/
Când, plin de umilinţă, tu părăseşti Pământul/
Iluzia supremă, ascunde adevărul/
