Film and Music Biography

Alex Gilbert started making cartoons in 2002 and showing them at his school. Alex got involved with film making courses in Whangarei. In 2004 when Alex was 11 made his first official short film and have ever since started making more. Alex Gilbert won a film competition at his school recently for best film and picture. Alex has since made over 40 different short films in the past 4 years.

Alex Gilbert Started to make his music in 2006 with his first debut album Under All Evils. He released only 5 copies of this album as this was his first album that had not been commercially released and it is the only one of his albums that are not selling on the iTunes Music Store. Over the following weeks in 2006 Alex started to record for his following 2nd album called "Crazy" which is one of Alex Gilbert's Greatest and Best Selling on the iTunes Music Store. He also made an un-released EP that contained a track that dissed one of Alex's old firends Patrick. This did get Alex in trouble and even though he released the song over the internet. His school told him to get rid of it and Alex by that time got known for that track.

Crazy was released and was sold in Whangarei. It had heaps of criticism but he still kept on going and people from America even thought this was one of his best albums. Crazy contained many tracks that wern't suppose to be there but Alex's Producers still insisted he should have kept them on. Some songs from the album was recorded at school and at "Crazy Productions" which was the songs that featured Kadin. Crazy had a track that Alex made called "Gracie Pt1 and Pt2" and this caused the album to re-release with the songs removed because of criticism In 2007 Alex released his 3rd album called "Make Me Rich" and this album was about being rich and popular if he ever got famous. This album caused Alex to wait for a few more songs of his to be finished. When Make me Rich was released more and more people from his city wanted to buy the album the day it was released. After the album was released , Alex was announced the Youngest White Rapper in NZ on a kids show called Studio 2. Alex Gilbert was telling people that he was already working on his 2008 album that had a long wait and was expected to be Alex's biggest album yet.

At the end of 2007 Alex released a music video called "The World Goes Round" and this was released over youtube and Alt TV. This was following the album that was expected the following year later. When the final track of Alex's 4th album they were finally announced and "The Outbreak of an MC" was released. This album also had a delayed release because of a film he was working on for the school aswell as a show for Channel North Television in NZ that he started to help out for. When Alex released this album he released the best tracks as separate singles but people thought that he had released too many singles for this album.

Alex was recently in a online news article about news about his 5th album that is expected for release on the iTunes Music Store and a special release in Whangarei along with a tour in his City. Alex Gilbert released a song on the internet that was going on the new album. Alex is now producing his own instrumentals for his up-coming album in the Southern Hemisphere's Summer of 2008.
