Cliffside Industries is a cabinet hardware distribution company based in Lititz, Pennsylvania.

History

The Cliffside legacy began in April 1987 as the dream of its founder, Walter Zaleskie. Having been previously involved in the kitchen and bath industry for over 14 years, Walter had the dream to start his own company. He carved his niche in the area of decorative hardware.

Cliffside truly began with one man, one idea and one knob. What began with one knob has grown to over 1,000 items. What started with one man has grown into a team of hardworking, dedicated professionals and a warehouse and office complex located in the heart of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.

Cliffside has changed a lot over the last 20 years. The kitchen and bath industry has changed as well. In a day when new hardware distributors are popping up everywhere, one thing has remained the same about Cliffside Industries: it is still a family-owned company whose founder remains at the helm overseeing operations and product development. Walt's daughter Terese manages sales, customer service and the warehouse. The family takes pride in servicing all of our customers, many who have been with us since the beginning. Dedication to our customers is just as important today as it was in April 1987.

Knobs

Cliffside Industries' 100-PB

Cliffside Industries offers a wide variety of cabinet knobs for any home decorating project. The company started with just one knob, the 100-PB (pictured at right), and Walter's legacy grew from this one simple product. Today, Cliffside provides a large selection of knobs, from solid brass to zinc die cast, bronze to pewter, German crystal to Italian marble. Some of the most popular-selling pieces include the 100 series knob, the 105 series knob, the 110 series knob, the 158 series knob and the 161 series knob (see the photo gallery for examples). Since Cliffside is currently undergoing a hardware line expansion, several new knobs and other stock items in new finishes are now available. See our website for more details and to check available finishes.

Pulls

Standard cabinet pulls

Cliffside distributes many styles and sizes of pulls, but none are as popular as the standard-sized drawer pulls. Most standard Cliffside pulls measure 3" center-to-center, though several other industry-standard sizes are available (4" in limited pulls, 96mm in limited pulls, 128mm in limited pulls). As part of the current line expansion, Cliffside Industries has constructed hardware suites around its four most popular pulls: B1-3, SP-3, K344, and P-399 (see the photo gallery for examples). Each of these suites is available in all of our top ten finishes. There is a wide variety to choose from; check out the Cliffside website for additional information.

Cup/bin pulls

In addition to standard-design drawer and cabinet pulls, Cliffside also offers a variety of cup pulls. This line received a significant expansion in 2009 with the addition of the brand-new K544 rope-style cup pull and the expansion of the P-398 pull into ten finishes. All of Cliffside's standard cup pulls are 3"cc regardless of overall length and are made from solid brass. They are heavy, durable, and will look great on drawers for years after installation. Other cup pulls in the signature line include the K4235 and the K341.

This criss-cross design received a huge expansion in 2009.

Oversized cabinet/drawer and small appliance pulls

A major component of the 2009 signature line expansion is the addition of intermediate-sized pulls to the hardware selection. Cliffside's four most popular 3"cc pulls (see above) are now available in an 8"cc size as well. To make this possible, the product development designed 5 completely new pieces of hardware: B1-8, K344-8, SP-8, P-399-8, and P-399-12 (an appliance pull). Further, Cliffside offers several other designs of oversized pulls, including a wide range of sizes in two different styles of stainless steel bar pulls. Sizes in this category range from 6"cc to 11⅝"cc.

Appliance pulls

One distinctive feature that sets the Cliffside hardware line apart from the competition is the weight and durability of the solid brass appliance pulls. At 12"cc and weighing up to 2 pounds, these pulls will last a lifetime and look impressive on any refrigerator or freezer. The density and weight of solid brass ensures that your investment in cabinet hardware will not go to waste.

Solid brass hinges

Cliffside Industries' BH3NA-VB

Cliffside's line is defined by its hinges. Extruded from solid brass, rather than stamped like the competition, Cliffside Industries offers a variety of hinge styles, finishes, and shapes to fit nearly any design or construction element. Four types of inset hinges are available (two beaded and two flush), as well as two types of standard ⅜" offset hinge. Two different sizes of hinge are available in each category to fit any size door. The larger, two-piece armoire hinges come apart for ease of transportation and installation when it comes to cabinet doors. Our BH2A hinge is available in both beaded and flush inset designs, with three distinctive finials to choose from: ball, steeple, and button. The finial tip is the most popular, with 16 finishes available in the mortised version, and 15 available in the non-mortised.
