In the spring of 2010, the singer participated in an international/national singing competition called ''Anthem IMF'' in which he was a finalist representing Washington.

As an aspiring actor Sarey appeared in a local commercial for "Renton Gold" that made it's debut shortly after it's production in the Fall 2011.  

Summer 2010, he played the main role of "Alex" in an upcoming thriller film which the name was never announced and til this day has no premiered.

Sarey serves as a Jump Start committee member for the leadership program at [[GLSEN]] for the 2012-13 year which strives to provide safe schools for [[LGBTQ]] youth, POW that strives to create a safe space for youth and activism <ref>http://www.highlinetimes.com/2012/04/13/news/buriens-pow-safe-place-youth-who-may-identify-gay POW (Sarey not pictured)</ref>.
