At the same time Jenny Dawson and Greg James, artist tenants of J Shed, were attempting to resolve ongoing lease arrangements with the City of Fremantle. This was proving difficult and in August 2011 the two became aware that the ‘activation’ process was underway and that the deliberations had a potential impact on their tenure.

Since then, tenants of the Arthur Head site have been active in pursuing information about the process and diligent in understanding the potential opportunities and challenges that arise from it.
