:Firefox blocked the pop-up as well. I agree with your observation that users hate pop-up ads. That being said, I think there's a natural counter-acting moderation for those with their own directory listings. That is, potential problems arise in situations where non-owners have developed directory listings. Since these are allowed at our discretion, we can easily create a policy governing this practice.
