Hi {{{1}}}, thank you for stopping by. Centiare was set up to utilize the fantastic MediaWiki collaboration/editing tool for both personal and commercial directory content.

What makes Centiare different? Well, we've added all sorts of interesting extensions/modifications to increase functionality, not the least being:

  • Protected user-owned pages (no more admins or vandals messing with "your" space), and;
  • Semantic tagging capabilities (that make possible amazing searches of the database).

If you don't want to create a Directory listing and wish to remain anonymous, you can still use some cool features like the following infobox:

To use any of the personal infoboxes, just go to Snerfling, click the edit tag and copy/paste the information to your personal User page and edit as necessary. Since all fields are optional, you can delete as needed. However, please note that the semantic tags allow others to search and find you on the information you wish to provide.

I'd be happy to walk you through some of the basic elements if you're interested -- not the least being your own Directory listing. In the meantime, a few of my favorite pages that might help acquaint a new user with what's possible are found among the Demonstration links.
