Publishing is the act or business practice of printing or delivering information, content, or artwork in a permanent (or semi-permanent) medium to a wider audience. There is some debate about whether certain Internet sites that do "publish" content are more understood to be "interactive computer services" and therefore immune to liabilities thanks to Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act.
