Centiare is a free directory service that anyone can use, including: commerical enterprises, non-profit/socio-political organizations, government entities, self-employed individuals, job-seeker resumés, actor/artist biographies/images, etc.
Centiare is powered by the same MediaWiki software used by Wikipedia, with the addition of custom extensions that enhance its core functionality. That means if you're an existing Wikipedian or familiar the Mediawiki program, you can get started right away. Alternatively, you can check out the list of Centiare's experienced editors who can help you get started today.
Getting Started
- Centiare allows users to control and protect their own user-owned Directory page content. Unlike Wikipedia and other wiki sites that do not provide this feature, this means NO ONE ELSE can edit, vandalize, or otherwise interfere with your protected Directory pages.
- Centiare supports an advocate point-of-view (APOV) for protected Directory page content. While Main page articles are reserved for traditional neutral point-of-view (NPOV) subjects (e.g., Accounting, Immigration, Entertainment, etc.), which are subject to open-editing capabilities, the protected Directory page content can be used to advocate, promote, advertise and provide sales contact information for specific companies, organizations, entities, individuals, locations, branches, products, services, etc.
- Centiare incorporates semantic tagging in all Directory entries that enables users to quickly search and/or browse Directory listings in conjunction with a number of different filters and search parameters (e.g., industry, zip code, city/state/country, etc.), to provide more focused and accurate searches.
Quickly add your free Centiare directory listing today!
