The WigJig Company started business in [[1997]] in Northern Virginia. At that time the company had one patent for a jewelry making jig made from metal. Since then WigJig has received two new patents for their jewelry making jigs and has designed or improved the design for many jewelry making hand tools that are made for WigJig to specifications developed by the owners of the company.
Currently the WigJig Company has had an Internet store for over ten years and sells over 3,000 different beads and other jewelry making supplies.
