The <b>TURF Party of River Forest</b> non-partisan political party was a off-shoot of the [[CARE Party of Oak Park]], founded in 1991 by [[Renaissance Man]] [[Les Golden]].  Under Golden's guidance, it slated and obtained the election of River Forest, Illinois, residents to local office.
