Maurizio Giuliano earned a degree from [[Oxford University]] in [[1996]], <ref name="backcover caso"> Back cover of ''El Caso CEA: Intelectuales e Inquisidores en Cuba'' </ref> and a master's degree from [[Cambridge University]] in [[1997]].<ref name="backcover caso"/>

He published and edited several studies, including two books on [[Cuba]]n politics, as well as numerous articles.
