CONTINUATION OF A.J. LIEBLING'S SWEET SCIENCE BOOK! IS ROCKY MARCIANO'S TRUE RECORD 50-0?

SHAME ON ROCKY N HIS SCREWY MANAGER AL WEILL FOR NOT ORGANIZING BAKER-MARCIANO FIGHT ON FEBRUARY 3 1956, WHEN NORRIS & IBC PROPOSED I TO HIM ON NOVEMBE 15 1955. RM & WEILL WERE TOTALLY DRUNK FOR REFUSIN TO ACCEPT BAKER FIGHT, A SOLID OPPONENT! BAKER LOST TO HURRICANE JACKSON ON THE DAY HE WAS SUPPOSED TO FIGHT ROCKY & BAKER WAS NO LONGER LOGICAL OPPONENT FOR ROCKY. THEN NOBODY WAS & RM RETIRED, HE ALSO RETIRED DUE TO WEILL SCREWING HIM (SO THEY SAY) AROUND 10 000$ ON COCKELL FIGHT. RM ALSO HAD BACK PROBLEMS & PROMISED FAMILY HE WILL RETIRE, HOW STUPID, Y NOT GO FOR GOLDEN RECORD OF 50-0 & RETIRE. THAT'S A RARE ACCOMPLISHMENT. ROCKY WAITED TOO LONG FOR AN OPPONENT, HE SHOULD HAVE TAKEN THE BAKER FIGHT N CALL IT A DAY! ROCKY COULD HAVE BEEN CHAMPION FROM 9/23/1952 TO 1/3/1957, IF HE HAD 50TH FIGHT!

WHO IS THE GREATEST HEAVYWEIGHT EVER? 3 HEAVIES SHOULD SHARE SAME PLACE: MARCIANO, ALI, & LOUIS, PERIOD! KLITSCHKOS ARE OK & IN THEY SHOULD BE IN TOP 20 HEAVIES EVER; MARCIANO, DEMPSEY WOULD BEAT THE SHIT OUT OF THEM BUT IT WOULD REQUIRE 15 ROUNDS TO PUT EM APART, 12 ROUNDS IS NOT ENOUGH ON SUCH HIGH LEVEL! MARCIANO COULD GO MANY ROUNDS EASY!

WHAT IMPROVEMENTS BOXING NEEDS BADLY?

17 boxing weight classes are way2many. It is nothing but a scheme to make money, it's a boxing shame. Difference between each class is only couple of kilos. Nobody knows who the real champ is in boxing, there r 100 of them n each claims he is the best. If a bout is scored 113-112 113-113 112-113, one point should not make a difference n it's too close to call that a win!!! During n b4 marciano-patterson era there were 8 weight classes, thus i propose ten classes maximum, just like in olympix. I'd add super middleweight n cruiserweight2original 8 classes. No wonder MMA r overtaking boxing. Justly so!!! I also propose mandatory headbands to avoid NCs or technical draws. Fans r not payin hard earned money 2c bouts end early cuz of cuts!!! There should be one governing body that controls all of boxing n who organizes fights for lineal, true championships. Only such championships count as real n legit!!!

'BIG' BOB BAKER (45-5) VS ROCKY MARCIANO (49-0) ON 2.3.56, AT MADISON SQUARE GARDEN, NEW YORK!!!

Marciano never faced a true heavyweight in the ring as a champion. Baker was true heavyweight for any era (6'2, 222lbs-188cm,100kg). 'Big Bob, The Grinder, Belt Em Bob' Baker won 13 straight fights (baker's dozen) n was Marciano's only logical challenger left. This exciting bout should have happened on February 3 1956, live on national coast to coast radio n tv. Only heavyweights fought on this night just like on 9.21.55, when RM defeated Archie Moore. It would have been nice, good bye fight for RM to his fans. It wouldnt be an easy fight for RM. Bulky, 'Big' Bob Baker had very good results against shorter fighters n had very fast hands, however Marciano would have defeated Baker around round ten. BB would not come out from his corner. RM would have had a golden 50-0 record! It's a real shame this bout didnt happen. It was offered to RM on a silver platter by IBC! Both fighters were in excellent condition. Rocky would have made history!!!

ROCKY MOVIES

SYLVESTER STALLONE TOOK 'ROCKY' NAME AS MAIN CHARACTER FROM UNDEFEATED ROCKY MARCIANO (WHOSE REAL AMATEUR RECORD IS 9-4, WORLD CHAMPION FROM 9/23/1952 TO 11/30/1956, APRIL 27 IS WRONG, http://archive.today/5aNT8) BECAUSE NAME SOUNDS TOUGH N ITS POPULAR. THERE WERE/ARE MANY BOXERS NAMED 'ROCKY.'

AN IDEA FOR ROCKY 6 MOVIE CAME EXCLUSIVELY & SOLELY FROM ALI VS MARCIANO SUPERFIGHT/SUPER FIGHT MOVIE! MARCIANO LOOKS VERY SIMILAR TO BALBOA, BOTH HAD UNPRECEDENTED WILL TO WIN, WITH A KILLER INSTINCT, BOTH HAD STAMINA, BOTH WERE BROWLERS, BOTH WERE 5'11, 180.3CM TALL! BUT IN REAL LIFE BALBOA WOULD NEVER BEAT MARCIANO, WHO HAS A PERFECT RECORD OF 50-0, THAT'S VERY RARE, GREAT ACCOMLISHMEENT! ROCKY'S WIFE WAS ALMOST AT ALL OF HIS FIGHTS, WHILE THE FIGHT TOOK PLACE, SHE PRAYED THE HOLY ROSARY~!ROSARY, NO DOUBT HELPED ROCKY WIN N RETAIN PERFECT RECORD!!!

ROCKY MARCIANO'S TRUE AMATEUR RECORD IS 9-4 (8KOs)!

THERE IS SOME CONFUSION ON ROCKY'S RECORD, ESPECIALLY ON WIKIPEDIA AND OTHER PLACES, THEY CLAIM IT'S 8-4, BUT THOSE PEOPLE DON'T TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION THAT ROCKY WON ONE BOUT BY DISQUALIFICATION. HIS OPPONENT RALPH PISCOPO DIDN'T SHOW UP.

1.1.1956 FIGHT

On 9.21.55, after Moore fight, RM should have announced that he will fight the winner of Baker-Valdes fight on New Year's Day; Sunday 1/1/1956 & next day be in all the newspapers worldwide. Faootball wasn't played on Sundays at that time. Rocky could have kept the title until 1/2/1957 (so Floyd can become the youngest heavyweight champion of all time, still at the age of 21), have few exhibitions on that day & call it a day with perfect, golden record of 50-0-0!!! Rocky could have been the world champ from 1952 to 1957!!! 2012-1956=56! For both years '56 & '06. January 1 was on Sunday. If Rocky had Baker fight on this day, more people would have seen & heard him, also because it was Sunday there was no college football! Rocky could have been the world champ from 1952 to 1957!!!

On Friday night, February 3 1956 (aka Rocky Day), on national coast to coast tv & radio [1], at Madison Square Garden[2] in NY with seating of 20000+ (or on Jan 5 56, New Year's fight in LA at the Olympic Auditorium, with seating & standing places of 11000+. The place is now Korean Christian Church), Rocky Marciano was to fight 'Big' Baker Bob 45-5 (aka 'The Grinder, Belt em Bob, BB'. Unlike anybody else in the heavyweight division, he won 13 straight bouts (baker's dozen) & was the only logical opponent left for RM. Instead of Bob fighing 'Hurricane' Jackson, BB should have fought Rocky, he earned the right to it. Bob Baker (whose record was at the time 45-5 could have had better record, he didnt because of Chris Dundee's bad management of him) was the genuine heavyweight for any era, he was at least 188cm-210-230 lbs+6'2-100kg+! Nino Valdez (not Valdes) beat Cockel easily in Cockel's UK hometown. Rocky never faced real heavyweight in championship bouts except for Cockel who was 205lbs & good fighter but was not the logical contender; thus it's unknown how good/bad Rocky really was. BB was also body builder. At the beginning of Baker's career he won 26 straight bouts, thus he won 39 straight consecuive bouts in his career. That's a very rare achievement/accomplishment! January 6th 1956 was the last day of Friday night fights at MSG, then it resumed on February 3. Nobody planned any fights for Rocky on January 1 1956, but President of IBC Jim Norris wanted to stage Baker-Marciano fight on II.III.1956. Only heavyweights fought on this night like on 9.21.1955, when RM fought Archie Moore, it was Rocky's next to last public bout. Last one was on March 27 1956, in Rio de Janeiro in Brasil at little Maracana stadium. Rocky was also a guest referee. But outside of Brasil nothing much has been written about these special events. Rocky Marciano (whose real walking weight was 230+lbs-100+kg, height 5'11-180cm, fighting weight 175-190lbs-83-90kg, true amateur record 9-4 (8KOs) ) should have taken BB fight for various reasons. Also he never had championship fight in winter. He would have had exact 88% KO rate, an increase from 87.76%. He would have had golden record of 50-0-0. Rocky Marciano was really world heavyweight champion from September 23 1952 to November 30 1956, when Floyd Patterson was declared the official champ. April 27 is incorrect! According to Universal TIme (UT), Marciano technically died on his 46th birthday at 2AM on 9.1.1969!
