Sygurd Wisniowski

Sygurd Wisniowski (4/6/1841-4/23/1892 was a Polish adventurer, world traveler, globetrotter, author & reporter of second half of the 19th century. One of the most famous Polish novelists Henryk Sienkiewicz praised his work. Sygurd travelled to North America (published book in 1876: 100 years of USA), Oceania, Australia, New Zeland. He was also gold-digger, member of Custer expedition to Black Hills. Around 1882 he returned to Poland & stayed there for good. His funeral took place on 5/1/1892.
