Sygurd Wisniowski

Sygurd Wisniowski (4/6/1841-4/23/1892 was a Polish adventurer, world traveler, globetrotter, author & reporter of second half of the 19th century. One of the most famous Polish novelists Henryk Sienkiewicz praised his work. Sygurd travelled to North America, Oceania, Australia, New Zeland. He was also gold-digger, member of Custer expedition to Black Hills. Around 1882 he returned to Poland & stayed there for good. His funeral took place on 5/1/1892.
